The latest advertising slogan
luring visitors to Las Vegas
is “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”. Gone
is the “family friendly” slogan of the
nineties, and in are trendy clubs and lounges suited to the 20's crowd. I
will respect the current slogan and keep my weekend description short. I will say that we tried our best to “keep it
clean” by focusing on activities such as water-skiing on Lake
Mead,
dinners, baseball, and even a comedy club visit.
We more-or-less succeeded in our efforts not to succumb to the
vices of
Vegas, with the exception of gambling which we did plenty of during our
short
weekend together.
The bachelor party group featured the complete college crowd, including
Baker, Luke, Jason (the groom), Eric, Bullard, Ramos, and Chad.
The only missing key member was Badfo, who has chosen to instead attend
the wedding (due to his very pregnant wife, he was only able to attend
one or the other). Also joining us was Rowan, Jason's friend from
Harvard, his brother-in-law Joe, and his father Joe. You can
imagine who difficult it is for a bunch of old dudes to get into hot
dance clubs and trendy lounges, but thanks to Luke we were able to jump
the lines of 20-sometings to get into the hottest clubs. Together
we made for a lively group, and managed to stick together throughout
the various activities of the weekend. A few of the best pictures
from the weekend:
